Color grading is all about subtlety that enhances an image’s quality. First, color correcting takes your Log/RAW/ProRes footage and corrects exposure, white balance, contrast, highlights, saturation, skin tones and shot matching. Color grading then brings out an emphasis on the subjects, makes it more vivid and can create moods that trigger affect.
I do freelance color grading for artists, filmmakers, documentaries, advertisements, YouTubers, wedding videos, TikToks, archival footage… basically any and all forms of the moving image. I’ve taken workshops with the International Colorist Academy out of London and learned industry standards and techniques. I enjoy collaborating with people on their projects and entering into a dialogue on how they would like to see it come to fruition. Companies may be juggling many projects at the same time, turning and burning and not putting in as much effort and consideration that I will. If you have a project you would like graded, send me an email with a description of the work and the subject heading “Color Grading Inquiry.” We’ll work out the details and figure a price that is based on the scope of the work after a review process. Looking forward to collaborating.
